* Surviving 217km thru Death Valley*
I am now an offical Finisher of the 'Worlds Toughest' Ultra Marathon the 'Badwater 135'
On July 17th I became the 10th Australian to finish the 'Badwater' Ultra Marathon, 217km through Death Valley, California in sizzling 50 degree heat.
After 30 hrs and 24 min I reached the Mt Whitney Portal in 14th position. This is now the fastest time recorded by an Aussie athlete at 'Badwater'.
It was by far the hardest race I have competed in, with the heat, wind, fatigue and the relentless hills being the major factors that I had to constantly managing.
Competing in the event has been a dream of mine for many years, so to have finally finished the race and reached what is arguably the pinnacle of ultra running,
I am extremely happy with my result.
I must pay credit to my magnificent crew whom without their help and assistance the result would not have been possible.
Thanks Mike Toby, Adrian Pannozzo, Bonnie Busch, Casey Cooper and and Ian Sharman.
I would also like to acknowledge 32Gi Low GI Endurance Energy Products and Hoka one one shoes, both of which played vital roles in my 'Badwater' success.
How awesome is it to run what's arguably the 'worlds toughest' and 'hottest' ultra marathon, remain well hydrated without nutritional issues and not have
to deal with any blister or feet issue.
Thanks to 32Gi Low GI Endurance Energy Products

the winner Ewan Horsborough.
David’s time is now ranked 4th on the all time fastest list. David had a perfect day feeling good and strong right to the end, with his panning
coming together with the assistance of his fantastic Support Crew which included his father George, friends Arthur Phillips, Nikki Wynn,

and 4th place getter Christian Fatton from Switzerland.
David said “It was a real dog fight with no one prepared to give an inch. Normally you wouldn’t be satisfied with second but on this
occasion I am, as I gave 100%, left nothing out there, raced hard all day and finish in what is a very fast time. Credit to the winner
Ewan he was simply too good on the day”

* David Eadie - Finishes the 2010 Western States 100 Mile Ultra Marathon *
June 26th - TRM David Eadie has once again successfuly completed the epic ‘Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run’ on June 26th.
David raced as best he could on the day and was on schedule for a sub 19 hr top 20 finish right upto 130 km before fatigue and nutritional
issues slowed his progress. David recovered and solidering on to the finish at Auburn in 22 hrs and 7 mins.
"It was once again a challenging day and things went well for 130 km before I began to slow. But thats to be expected in such a gruelling event.
In the end I was more than satisfied with the way I solidered on to the finish well under the magical 24 hour 'Silver Buckle' mark and inside the
permitted 30 hour time limit.
When your out there for 22 plus hours you go through many highs and lows and you really do test your mental and physcial toughness. I guess thats what
draws me to such an event"
